I don’t recommend attaching files to any emails sent out, but if you do make sure the file size is small. If you cant attach the files then uploading a video that is hosted somewhere like YouTube or Vimeo is another good option. Also include album artwork and any promotional material, such as a high-quality promotional videos or live performances. Make sure you include any upcoming single releases, a new album or tour dates and shows that are important to your music career. You can even feature these on the home page of your EPK and music website.
- Contact information: If you’re using an EPK portfolio website to showcase your media, make sure the site includes contact details such as your email address and phone number for music supervisors, media outlets and talent buyers. This way anyone who views your EPK can easily get in touch with you! Vitally important for a booking agent looking for potential acts.
- Video: Include at least 1 music video in your EPK. Motion graphics are great for turning simple videos into interesting motion media that talent buyers will love! Don’t forget any other promotional videos or live footage.
